Lapis Lazuli

This semi-abstract landscape is inspired by the deep, luminous ultramarine of lapis lazuli, a stone long associated with truth.

While creating it, I kept returning to the phrase: “Truth will out.”

Fine lines of gold move delicately across the surface, rising through the composition and gradually converging at the horizon. They suggest a quiet emergence—truth taking shape after being obscured by deception, gathering strength as it rises into view.

There is a sense of fragility throughout the piece. Alongside the gold threads, slender stems of foreground flowers echo this delicacy. Everything feels as though it could be bent, broken, or manipulated—much like truth itself when placed in uncertain hands.

And yet, truth endures.

Stand steady in your own reality. Trust your inner voice. Surviving the distortions of others begins with refusing to abandon what you know to be real.
